Osteopathy for Women: the BLT Approach in Pregnancy 2026
Master the delicate balance of obstetric care with Julie Fendall DO Most Sc(Paeds) : experienced in osteopathy for women and children, Julie Fendall brings decades of expertise to the course “Osteopathy for Women: the BLT Approach in Pregnancy”, imparting the deep clinical competencies inherited from great osteopathic masters, including Anne Wales, Viola Frymann, Melicien Tetambel, Jane Carreiro, Susan Turner, Stuart Korth, and many others.
During this two-day course, we explore the comprehensive management of the expectant mother through every stage of her journey. The program covers the clinical assessment and treatment of women across all three trimesters, meticulously considering the profound postural and hormonal changes that redefine the body’s equilibrium, while also addressing the psychological and emotional transition of the mother-to-be.
A significant part of the lectures are dedicated to extensive practical sessions. Under Julie Fendall’s guidance, the participants will refine their palpatory skills using Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT) techniques to:
- Balance the pelvic and uterine suspensory system to alleviate gestational discomfort.
- Support the body’s fluid dynamics and fascial continuity during the progressive postural changes.
- Support optimal foetal positioning by ensuring optimal pelvic and spinal function.
The main topics
- Three-Trimester Protocols: osteopathic assessment and management from conception to birth.
- The BLT techniques: mastering balanced ligamentous tension for specific conditions and areas.
- Targeted approach in a holistic view: structuring the treatment considering postural, hormonal, and emotional changes in pregnancy.
